Saudi Student Association Maastricht :

A student association representing the Saudi students and their companions in Maastricht city in the Netherlands.

Intention :

It is a student association representing the Saudi students and their companions in Maastricht city in the Netherlands. Due to the huge difference between the culture in the Netherlands and that of Saudi Arabia, we believe that most of us are still facing difficulties especially in communication. This applies from two aspects. Those are communication between the Saudi students themselves and between Saudi students and the Dutch society in general. In order to ease that, we, the Saudi students, have decided to establish this association to keep up a much larger developmental and communicative process in the cultural, social and educational aspects between the students themselves as well as the Dutch society and the university. Finally, by sharing our opinions, expressing ourselves, and understanding the Dutch society and the university, only then we can feel more at home and be able to fulfill our needs.

Goals of the Association:

-Welcoming of new Saudi students, helping them to feel at home as possible and facilitate their integration into theDutch society.

-Organizing cultural, social, scientific, educational, and sport activities for the association members.

-Organizing Saudi Arabian national events.

-Strengthening the relationship between students and the university.

-Facilitating student’s academic and social life as much as possible.
